The funeral is set to begin at 2:40pm with the coffin leaving the castle, followed by a funeral march and a minute of silence nationwide, according to Buckingham Palace.
The event is to be a “ceremonial royal funeral”, rather than a state funeral, which “very much reflects the duke’s wishes”, a palace spokesman said.

Philip, whose official title is the Duke of Edinburgh, was expected to celebrate in private, with no public events scheduled.
The palace said earlier that the prince, also known as the Duke of Edinburgh, had been admitted to London’s King Edward VII Hospital on Tuesday night, “as a precautionary measure, for treatment of an infection arising from a pre-existing condition”
