Abiodun gave his tribute during the funeral service held at St. James’s Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, Ogun State.

The governor’s father passed away on August 2 at the age of 89.
The president also condoled with institutions and educationists in the state who had worked with the late Abiodun, fondly called ‘Baba Teacher’ over many years, affirming that the principles of living for God, good of others and the country, and sharing knowledge greatly impacted on the entire Western Nigeria and the country.
Dr Abiodun died on Monday August 2 in Iperu-Remo at 89.
Lawan commiserated with the entire Abiodun family, government and people of Ogun State over the demise of the educationist who made indelible contributions to manpower development in Nigeria.
In his condolence message, Oladele said “with the passing of Baba, known and fondly called, ‘Baba Teacher’, we have lost one of our finest and most distinguished disciplinarians in the state in particular and Nigeria at large.
Dr. Abiodun, an educationist, died on Monday at the age of 89 during a brief illness.
