The stakeholders, comprising industry lawyers, media practitioners and other professionals, made the call in Lagos at a roundtable on PIGB organised by Centre for Financial Journalism (CFJ Nigeria) in partnership with Facility for Oil Sector Transformation, a DFID-funded programme.
The five-day workshop is scheduled for July 17 to 21, 2017 at the Central Bank of Nigeria’s International Training Institute, Abuja and is funded by the African Capacity Building Foundation and WAIFEM.
The lecture, which will be held every year, is the flagship programme of CFJ Nigeria and it will always be delivered by first-rate academics and professionals
Among the professionals on the faculty are: Prof. Martin Oluba; CEO, Value Fronteira Limited; Garba Deen Muhammad, Group General Manager (Public Affairs), Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and President, Nigerian Guild of Editors; Angela Agoawike, immediate past Head of Public Relations and Information Department at the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries
The inaugural lecture, which will be delivered by erudite Economist, Prof. Akpan Hogan Ekpo, the Director-General of West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management and former Vice-Chancellor of University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is entitled: “Steering Nigeria Out of Economic Turbulence – Policy Choices for Buhari’s Administration
