The Kogi State High Court in a ruling on April 17 restrained the EFCC from arresting, detaining and prosecuting  Bello.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the tribunal had on November 25, 2023 granted an ex-parte order.

Olaleye was recently sentenced to life imprisonment for defiling his then 16-year-old wife’s niece.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had announced him as winner of the poll on March 18, 2023.

Abdullahi is a member of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

The three-member panel, while delivering the judgment through Justice Bature Isa-Gafai, held Wanchiko’s appeal was unmeritorious.

The appellate court agreed with Kasim’s counsel, Johnson Usman, SAN, that Wanchiko, having presented a forged testimonial to the Independent National Electoral Commission, ought to be disqualified from contesting the election.

Liman was a member representing Makera Constituency in Kaduna South Local Government Area.

A three-member panel, on Friday, in a unanimous judgment, dismissed the five-ground appeal filed by Isa Ashiru.

Ashiru was the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18 governorship election.
 His appeal was dismissed by the Court for being unmeritorious.

Its Chairman, Francis Orogu, said the party will approach the Supreme Court to seek the reversal of the decision.

The appellate court voided the verdict of the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, which sacked Sule.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that a large group of people took to the streets of Kano on Wednesday.
