The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, who gave the promise at a meeting with ASUP executives in Abuja, however, said some of the issues had been resolved.
ASUP President, Anderson Ezeibe, said members of the union had vowed to shut down polytechnics across the nation till the Federal Government meets their demands.
ASUP gave the notice in a communique at the end of its 99th National Executive Council meeting on Friday in Katsina.
Anderson Ezeibe, National President, Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, while briefing journalists at ASUP’s 98th NEC meeting in Jos, Plateau State, regretted the “utter neglect” of technical and vocational education sub-sector.
