Hundreds of eligible voters’ in several parts of llorin metropolis were unable to cast their votes at the commencement of voting on Saturday following malfunctioning of smart card readers.

In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press secretary, AbduIwahab Oba, Ahmed said the death of Hajiya Aisha “at a time when his son, Alhaji Kawu Baraje, is leading a political reformation and realignment in the country is such a devastating and shocking news”.
He cautioned that impunity, lawlessness and divisive tendencies, which led to the downfall of the PDP, now reign supreme in the APC.
Baraje advised Buhari “to start playing politics so that the APC would not suffer the fate PDP’s suffered”
The nPDP National Publicity Secretary Eze Chukwuemeka Eze said in statement today that, “After a careful review of developments in our troubled party, PDP, the New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) wishes to make a passionate appeal to PDP Elders to take urgent steps to rescue the party from imminent doom. We are forced to cry out because of the unbelievable silence of our revered Party Elders in the face of the chain of developments instigated by factional National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, which has put the party at the edge of precipice”
Among those invited to appear before the committee are the National Chairman and National Secretary of the nPDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje and Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola
The party threw the challenge after a careful study of the disclosure made by the Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, while declaring open the second annual retreat of the NGF on Friday in Sokoto
