A suspected thief has been nabbed by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command while negotiating for the sale of a Honda City car for N400,000.
The suspect, identified as Ebosie Ugochukwu, was apprehended by operatives attached to Mushin Polic e Station on September 15, 2019.
Ugochukwu’s arrest followed a report on the day of his arrest at about 8:35pm by the Chief Security Officer of Farest Mercantile Company Limited, Mushin, Lagos State, Dominic Ukaegbu, that the car, with Registration Number Lagos KRD 755, belonging to the company, was removed from where it was parked.
According to the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Bala Elkana, on the strength of the report, detectives from Mushin Division launched a search.
The vehicle was eventually found along Western Avenue Area of Surulere, Lagos, where Ugochukwu was negotiating for its sale for N400,000.
The suspect, Elkana said, has confessed to the commission of crime, adding that he will be charged to court.
