The only survivor as at Wednesday when fire ravaged a self-contain bungalow located at 21 Micheal Ogun, Obelle Surulere has died.
The 9-year old child identified as Chidimma died at 6am Thursday morning from complications and pains resulting from the fire disaster that ravaged their home.
Chidimma was said to be a sister to the wife who was staying with her. Chidimma after the accident was the only survivor of the family inmates of eight until she was rushed to the Trauma and burns center of Gbagada General Hospital Lagos.
A resident, Prince Anthony Emenanor who confirmed her death to New Telegraph, said the girl was unable to speak or unfold anything that transpired during the tragedy because all her throats were burnt. “The only survivor, Chidimma, (9) died this morning at 6am, I was there when the girl died. Unfortunately she was unable to speak to us because all her throats were burnt. “
Emenanor said as at press time, relatives of the deceased have not been told of the new development.
Eight members of the same family including a one –year –old baby were killed when fire suspected to have erupted from a candle light razed down their home on Tuesday.
