Armed robbers on Monday afternoon attacked Nigeria Premier League current champions, Enyimba FC of Aba.
The incident occurred in Okene, a major town in Kogi State, as they were traveling for the Super 4 billed for Kaduna.
This was revealed on the Peoples Elephants official twitter handle: @Enyimbafc.
Enyimba tweeted: “We can confirm that our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the #SuperFour.
“Thankfully, there were no injuries during this unfortunate incident. Players and officials were however stripped of all valuables.”
