Sodje joins Macclesfield City

Former Nigerian international, Efetoborie Sodje, has joined English side, Macclesfield Town, on coach-player basis.
The bandana man wearing defenvive stalwart, stated this during a chat with The Eagle Online after putting pen to paper for the club.
Sodje, who is making a return to Macclesfield Town after 14 years that he left the club, said he is prepared to change the fortune of the club by assisting them gain promotion into the top plight league in England.
The Korea/Japan 2002 Super Eagles’ strongman said: “I’m a hero here at Macclesfield Town as I actually scored the club’s first league goal and it’s an honour for me to dorn their colours once again.
“I’m looking forward to a great season as this new deal made me the first ever Nigerian to coach and play at any level in England.”
Sodje ended last season at Bury also of England.
