The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has described the immediate past governor of the state and senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, as an exemplary leader passionately committed to the well being of not only his constituents but all Kwarans.
Ahmed said this against the backdrop of numerous people-oriented projects embarked upon by Saraki as both his constituency projects and also as leader of the state’s Peoples Democratic Party.
According to the governor, Saraki has demonstrated beyond doubt that he is a worthy successor of late Wazirin Iloin and former Senate Leader, late Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki, under whose political tutelage they all learnt to think about the welfare of others before self.
Ahmed listed some of the constituency projects of Saraki as including scholarship to indigent students, payment of WAEC and JAMB forms, donation of transformer to communities and building of primary health centers.
The governor stated this in his remark at the formal launch of two graders to grade all roads in the Kwara Central Senatorial District commencing from Ilorin West Local Government Area.
Ahmed further explained that the unprecedented achievement of his predecessor is responsible for his administration’s emphasis on continuity, which simply means value for money through completion of ongoing projects.
“Dr. Saraki laid the solid foundation of the new Kwara State, premised on the transformation of the state as the new commercial agriculture hub of Nigeria,” the governor said.
While promising to generate more youth jobs, build more rural roads, Ahmed expressed his determination to complete all ongoing projects, especially the five teaching hospitals, on schedule.
He thanked the people of the state for their support for the PDP administration in the state.
