France centre half, Mamadou Sakho, will have tests to determine the extent of his left hamstring injury ahead of Monday’s World Cup match against Nigeria in the round of 16, The EagleOnline has gathered.
The Liverpool defender limped off in the second half of Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Ecuador, the second successive time he has come off during a game after hurting his thigh in the 5-2 win against Switzerland.
Laurent Koscielny is in line to replace Sakho and line up alongside Raphael Varane against Nigeria if Sakho is not fully fit.
Koscielny played well against Ecuador alongside Sakho, with Varane rested for that game.
