Popular Sports TV presenter, Kiibati Bankole, who last year launched her highly entertaining TV game show, Superfan Challenge, is set to take the world of football to an entertaining level and further bridge gap between football and showbiz.
Bankole’s show has seen the likes of celebrities such as 9ice, Ruggedman, Gbenga Adeyinka, TA and many more go at each other in the name of football rivalry.
For instance, Ruggedman, a fan of Manchester United, called Arsenal fans area boys on the show, a development which prompted popular comedian, Adeyinka, an Arsenal fan, to hit back at Ruggedman the following week, challenging him to a million naira bet on Manchester United’s chances of winning the English Premier League this season.
9ice, a fan of Chelsea FC, also hit at Arsenal fans on the show, claiming that anyone over 18 years of age that supports Arsenal has no priorities.
He also hit at Manchester United, calling the club racist.
Bankole has come up with a clever concept that will enable these celebrities go up against each other face-to-face in defence of their favourite clubs.
It is called Celebrity Superfan Challenge, which holds monthly.
The first version of this game show, according to Bankole, comes up next week Saturday at DeVogue on Opebi Road, Ikeja, Lagos State.
