Rennes have been heavily linked with a summer swoop to sign Sampdoria striker, Stefano Okaka.
The 25-year-old Italy international, who has become a key man for the Blucerchiati since joining from Serie A rivals, Parma, last summer, despite only scoring four goals in 32 appearances, has already been linked with a move to France this summer.
Saint-Etienne and Monaco are both believed to be lining up a move, but RMC claims Rennes are looking to steal a march on them with a 3 million euros offer to Sampdoria.
Sampdoria are keen to keep Okaka on board, but they would be tempted to offload if they feel a suitable offer is forthcoming.
