The marketing drive of the management of the Nigeria Premier League side, Rangers International, has yielded dividend.
On Thursday, an Abuja-based indigenous sports marketing firm, Alan Smith Nigeria Limited, signed a three-year kitting franchise contract with the Enugu-based club side.
Although the value of the endorsement was not disclosed by both parties, the company would henceforth take full responsibility of the club’s kiting during their home and away matches, including cladding in complete suits as obtainable in Europe.
Speaking during the signing of the MOU at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium Enugu, the facilitator of the deal and Chairman of Enugu State Football Association, Hon. Chidi Offo Okenwa, expressed joy with the development.
Okenwa expressed optimism that the new marriage would definitely take the Enugu club side, currently occupying the second position on the nation’s league table, to the next level.
A Director of Alan Smith, Bolaji Jimoh Akeem, explained that the idea of partnering with Rangers was part of the company’s commitment in promoting local clubs in the country.
“Alan smith is a sport marketing firm committed in taking football clubs, including Rangers International of Enugu, to the higher heights,” Akeem said.
With the sealed deal, Rangers players are henceforth to clad in complete suit, jerseys and track suits branded Alan Smith during all their matches both home and away.
