The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has fumed over the abduction of over 121 students of Bethel Baptist Church High School, Kaduna two days ago.
Primate Ayodele berated the Governor of the state, Nasir El-Rufai for his inability to secure the state from incessant attacks by bandits, who go all out to abduct students.
He revealed that El-Rufai has information about bandits because he withdrew his child from public school to avoid being kidnapped yet he has not done a lot to curb the attacks in the state.
The man of God advised the governor to resign from his position as the chief security officer of Kaduna State since he can’t do his job well by creating a formidable security system to bring an end to the attacks.
He said: “It’s so sad to have heard that about 121 students were kidnapped from a school in Kaduna State.
“It’s very sad that the governor can’t secure his people from this incessant attacks and operations by the bandits.
“Governor El-Rufai has information at hand because he withdrew his son from a public school to avoid kidnapping as said by him.
“What has stopped him from moving against these criminals?
“El-Rufai must resign as a governor because his body language says he is protecting the bandits.
“We have lot of incompetent governors in Nigeria and anyone that can’t protect his territory should be rejected by Nigerians.
“Everyone that can’t secure their territory should resign as governor and should never come back in 2023.”
On the security situation of Nigeria generally, Primate Ayodele knocked the Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, for always celebrating what is not necessary instead of giving Nigerians update about security.
He spoke on the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and recent attacks on Sunday Igboho, explaining that if the security operatives can successfully carry out the operations, then nothing should stop them from going after bandits except they are being corrupt ad taking sides.
He said: “Nigeria has a wrong Minister of Information who misinforms Nigerians because he celebrates what is not.
“Wvery little thing, he goes out talking.
“He needs to give us update on bandits.
“The arrest of Nnamdi Kanu that he was celebrating has nothing to do with Nigeria.
“Whether you arrest him or not, it has not brought peace to the nation.
“Why have they not arrested bandits all these while?
“If the government doesn’t have information about them, then what are we celebrating?
“It feels that our security operatives are taking sides.
“If they can successfully arrest Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho, what is stopping them from going after bandits?
“Whatever is good for the goose is good for the gander.
“If those behind secession can be arrested and attacked, what’s stopping them from going after those sponsoring bandits too?
“Our security has not lived up to expectation.
“There is corruption in the security network.
“If not, they should have arrested those behind banditry.”
