The Lagos State Police Command motorcycle riders have arrested an armed robbery suspect along the Eko Bridge. It was gathered that the riders acted on a tip-off and arrested one Samson Arologun, 18, with one Honda Accord salon car, which had number plate FX 721 LSR.
Also found on Balogun were two locally made guns.
Ngozi Braide,the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, added that three cartridges were also recovered from the suspect.
However, two accomplice of Balgun, who were in the vehicle with him, fled on sighting the policemen.
Braide said: “At about 2230hrs, police response riders 275 and 081 on patrol along Eko Bridge while acting on a tip-off arrested one Samson Arologun ‘m’ aged 18years old of no fixed address with one Honda Accord S/Car with Reg. No. FX 721 LSR and two locally made guns, three cartridges.
“The two other armed robbers who were with him in the vehicle escaped on sighting the police.
“Meanwhile efforts is being intensified to track down the fleeing robbers.
“The case is under investigation at State C.I.D Panti, Yaba.”
