Pinnick escapes another impeachment

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has again escaped another impeachment plot, The Eagle Online has gathered.
Impeccable sources hinted that the plan is being hatched by a returnee member of the board from one of the South South states.
It was learnt Amaju is already aware of the plot as he had been presented with the impeachment grounds.
However, the plot might have met a brick wall as the purported beneficiary of the impeachment, the NFF First Vice President, Seyi Akinwunmi, is mustering support to defeat the oppositions from having their way.
One of the sources said: “There’s move to impeach Amaju when they meet in Lagos on Thursday.
“The move is being spearheaded by a member of the Aminu Maigari’s kitchen cabinet, who against all odds returned to the board at the last election in Warri.
“As I am talking with you, Amaju is aware of the move and had even confronted the man behind the move.
“But it’s doubtful if the impeachment move will sail through because the Akinwunmi’s group is opposed to it.”
NFF board members will meet in Lagos on Thursday.
