Pharmacist beats APC chieftain to death

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State, Damian Ali, has been beaten to death by the by the owner of Swift Tel Pharmacy and his workers.
The incident, reports said, happened on Saturday in Owerri, the Imo State capital, on Saturday at Umuguma Junction, World Bank area.
Trouble was said to have erupted when Ali parked his vehicle in front of the pharmacy despite the resistance of the owner of the pharmacy and his staff.
The spokesman, Imo State Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu, Confirmed the development.
Ikeokwu said the owner of the pharmacy, who came to report himself to the police, has been detained.
He said: “The owner of the pharmacy is in police custody.
“He reported himself.
“The CP has ordered the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department to take over the matter.”
