The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps on Friday solicited for information that would lead to the arrest of a tipper driver alleged to have killed a motorcyclist at Ota in Ogun.
Kunle Ajibade, the Zonal Commander of TRACE in Sango-Ota, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Ota that the driver escaped from the scene of the accident.
Ajibade said that the accident occurred at about 8.30 p.m. on Thursday, adding that the motorcyclist known as Oke Adeje was earlier taken to a hospital and died on Friday morning.
He said: “The victim was taken to Ojulape Hospital in Ota for treatment; unfortunately he died in the early hours of Friday.
“His corpse had been deposited at the morgue of the hospital.”
Ajibade implored motorists and motorcyclists to be cautious and adhere to speed limit to avert unnecessary crashes.
