In recognition of its effort to promote the green revolution and climate change, the National Orientation Agency has been named as the recipient of this year’s Platinum Technology Award for Quality and Best Trade Name of the Otherways Management Association Club, Paris, France.
The award, which was announced at the Green Economy Forum held in Berlin, Germany, was attended by businessmen and women from 51 countries across the globe, where global best practices on the green initiatives were in focus.
The Director General of the Agency, Mike Omeri, in acknowledging the letter of award, thanked the club for the honour.
Omeri said the task of promoting green initiatives has become more urgent following recent manifestations of natural disasters resulting from change in climatic order.
Describing the club as a worthy partner of the government, the DG said the Agency was ready to continue to partner with relevant organisations in the promotion of measures to protect the environment and enhance man’s adaptability to new changes in the climate.
In his words: “NOA commends your club for this nomination.
“This will spur us to do more for our country in the bid to build a more friendly environment.
“It is the reason why we established unit on climate change to drive our green and climate change orientation and sensitization initiatives.”
