Ahead of Tuesday night’s crunch clash between Argentina and Nigeria, Ahmed Musa has sent a warning to Lionel Messi and his team, claiming he will continue his scoring streak against the Argentinians.
Musa scored twice in Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Iceland, leaving the group finely poised ahead of the final round of fixtures.
A Nigeria win would ensure they progress to the knockout round, while Argentina must win and better Iceland’s result against Croatia in order to qualify.
He said: “Whenever I play against Argentina, or whenever Messi is playing against me, I score.
“Four years ago, I scored two goals.
“When I transferred to Leicester City and we played against Barcelona, I scored another two goals, so I think in the next game anything can happen.
“Possibly, I’m going to score another two goals.”
