The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions over the Central States of the country on Tuesday with prospects of Morning thunderstorm is likely over Yola, Jalingo, Jos, Bauchi and Mambilla Plateau.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Monday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 32 to 40 and 22 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
It added that localised thunderstorm were highly probable over Jos, Abuja and Minna in the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency predicted that the southern States would experience cloudy morning with day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 34 and 23 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also localised rains in the morning and over Calabar and over Delta, Warri, Port Harcourt, Benin, Akure and Calabar in the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, Northern States will experience cloudy morning with chances of localised thunderstorm over Katsina, Sokoto, Kano, Gusau, Dutse, Yelwa, Kaduna, Nguru, Kebbi, Southern Bornu and Zaria axis in the afternoon and evening hours.
NiMet predicted: “Northern states will also have day and night temperatures in the ranges of 37 to 43 and 24 to 28 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Most parts of the country are expected to be under the influence of rainfall activities within the next 24 hours.”
