The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 25, 2023 polls, Atiku Abubakar, has filed a petition against the election of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
This development was disclosed on Tuesday by a member of the legal team of the former Vice President, Silas Joseph Onu.
The lawyer confirmed that the case was filed at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal on Tuesday.
This came the same day the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, filed his suit against the election of Tinubu, a former two-term Governor of Lagos State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had in the early hours of March 1, 2023 declared Tinubu as the President-elect having polled the majority of votes in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
