The family of Abdur-Rahman Balogun, an Assistant Editor-In-Chief with the News Agency of Nigeria, will on July 5 host the annual Ramadan Iftar (Breaking of fast) and Tafsir session.
The Tafsir session and Iftar, which is being coordinated by the Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates Association, Ibadan Chapter, will hold at the Balogun’s new residence at Lade, near Omi-Adio, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
According to the Coordinator of the programme, Abdulfattah Alade, said the sixth Iftar/Tafsir session during the 2015 Ramadan season will hold between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.
Alade said the guest lecturer, Ustaz Abdur-Rasheed Hasheem, will discuss the importance and lessons contained in Suratul Zumar.
Expected at the event are Islamic scholars, family and friends as well as those yearning for true Islamic knowledge.
Ramadan Iftar and Tafsir session is one of the key programmes of UNIFEMGA geared towards Islamic brotherhood, propagation and fostering religious harmony among mankind.
