Nigerian duo of Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi have expressed satisfactions following their scoreless draw at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday.
Both players took to Twitter shortly after the game to share their views.
Iwobi, on his Twitter handle: @alexiwobi, wrote: “Solid performance away from home today! Disappointed not to take all three points, but we’ll build on this.”
Similarly, Moses through this Twitter handle: @VictorMoses, believed the draw was hard earned, saying: “Hard fought point today.”
Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher lavished praise on Iwobi for his solid performance in Arsenal’s goalless draw.
With Mesut Ozil out injured with a slight knee injury, Arsene Wenger opted to play Iwobi in midfield for the visitors.
Chelsea started the game brightly, but Arsenal grew into the clash and enjoyed longer spells of possession as the first half developed.
And Carragher was particularly impressed by the Nigerian’s display for the north London side at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with Iwobi coming off before full-time.
Speaking during Sky Sports coverage of the game, Carragher said: “A proper, disciplined away performance. It was about time.
“A big difference from what happened at Anfield is that there was no Ozil and no Sanchez.
“Iwobi has been so disciplined and has done his job defensively as a tight midfield, stopping Chelsea going through the middle and forcing them wide.
“The work of Iwobi was fundamental.”
