Nigerian international, John Obi Mikel, has been voted as Chelsea’s worst player of the just ended 2013/14 season.
Mikel was bottom placed with 5.2 votes in the London 24 poll.
He is worse placed than Juan Mata, who left for Manchester United mid-season, after falling to secure a first team place at the west London club.
The AFCON 2013 winner was not favoured by the club manager, Jose Mourinho, for the central midfield position as he fell in pecking order behind Ramires, Nemanja Matic and Willian.
Meanwhile, Chelsea full back, Cesar Azpilicueta, was voted as the fans’ player of the season.
The Spaniard has featured at left back for the majority of the season, keeping Ashley Cole out of the side, which has resulted in the former England man being released.
Azpilicueta finished narrowly ahead of England man, Gary Cahill, in the tight poll after the former Bolton man impressed at the heart of the Blues’ defence this season.
Winger and top scorer, Eden Hazard, took third place ahead of captain John Terry, who has just signed a new deal with the west London club.
Fellow Spaniard, Fernando Torres, was also near the foot of the poll after yet another confusing season in front of goal for the £50 million man.
Club legend, Frank Lampard, ended up in mid-table and his future is still in doubt with no contract yet signed.
