John Obi Mikel and Odion Jude Ighalo have arrived ahead of this weekend’s all-important Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Competent camp sources hinted that Ighalo arrived Lagos on Thursday last week and would be jetting to Uyo on Monday.
Mikel, however was expected to arrive last night and would also connect Uyo for camping ahead of the tie.
Chelsea star, Victor Moses, is also expected to arrive early for the task ahead.
Our source also revealed that the players are in high spirit for the tie and they have assured to join camp on Monday.
“The players are taking this match very serious. They want to wrap up the qualification once and for all. So, all the grey areas have been taking care of and everyone is raring to go,” the source who preferred anonymity stated.
Nigeria leads Group B on 10 points, while Zambia is second on seven points, with Cameroon on three points.
Algeria is stuck at the bottom with one point.
