Nigeria’s midfielder, John Obi Mikel, has revealed that he is desperate to win more silverware at Chelsea.
The 26-year-old star already has eight major honours to his name after joining the Blues nearly eight years ago.
However, Mikel hopes to lift more trophies with his teammates during “many more years” at Stamford Bridge.
“It’s been an amazing journey. I’ve enjoyed every bit of it,” he told the club’s official website. “I’ve worked with some great people, great players from when I came to the ones that are here now. They’ve all been brilliant.
“I’ve won a lot of trophies with this team, but I’m still hungry to keep winning more. I’m very happy, I enjoy what I do, coming to the training ground every day, spending time with my teammates. I hope there are many more years to come.”
Chelsea are back in action on Sunday when they play host to champions, Manchester United, in the Premier League.
