A 30-year-old man, Ahmed Sosan, has allegedly stabbed his friend to death over a N300 eyeglasses.
Available information has it that the incident took place in Agege area of Lagos State.
The incident happened around 2pm on January 1 at Alla Street.
This was during the New Year celebration in the community.
According to an eyewitness, Sosan approached the deceased, Yusuf Sani, where he was dancing and ordered him to hand over the glasses to him, saying he liked the glasses.
Sani, however, did not take kindly to this and refused Sosan’s demand.
This led to a fight, which those who were present at the party settled.
But it was not all over though both went their separate ways after the intervention.
This was because after a few hours, they resumed the fight, with Sosan stabbing Sani on the chest with a knife.
Though members of the community did not want Sosan arrested, saying it was a family affair, the police took him away.
