The Chairman of Sango-Ijoko Local Council Development Area of Ogun State, Fatai Lawal, has been arrested by the police for the series of killings in Ado Odo-Ota Local Government Area, also in the state.
Available information has it that the LG boss, popularly known as Alhaji Ebony, has been with the police since Monday.
Lawal was arrested by the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Ogun State.
Lawal was said to have been arrested after the leader of a seven-man notorious gang, Igun (Vulture), told the police that the chairman has been sending them on their deadly operations.
The police had before now killed four members of the seven-man gang.
As at press time, Lawal was still with the police.
