Leicester City are preparing to rival West Ham with a £25 million move for Manchester City striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.
The 2015/16 Premier League champions, who appointed Craig Shakespeare as Claudio Ranieri’s permanent successor earlier this month, are likely to spend heavily this summer and will reportedly target players with English top flight experience.
Iheanacho, 20, boasts an impressive scoring record for City but was pushed further down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium in January following the arrival of Gabriel Jesus and his opportunities are likely to be restricted even further should Pep Guardiola complete an audacious move for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.
West Ham, as well as Everton and Crystal Palace have also been linked with the striker who made an impressive breakthrough under Manuel Pellegrini two seasons ago.
