It was a harvest of suspects following the arrest and parade of 40 suspects on Thursday by the Lagos State Police Command.
Spokesman of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the arrests were just some of the Command’s achievements.
Hundeyin, a Superintendent of Police, said: “We present to you today some of our achievements in the fight against crime and criminality within Lagos State in the past month or thereabout.
“Before you today we have a total of 40 suspects who have engaged in varying crimes, including armed robbery, stealing, kidnapping and cultism among other crimes.
“From all of these cases, which we successfully cracked, we recovered a total of eight arms, 16 live ammunition, six vehicles, one motorcycle, two axes, nine generators, seven TVs, two grinding machines, two knives, one home theatre, 27 phones, hard drugs and decomposing human hands.”
The Command’s Commissioner, CP Idowu Owohunwa, used the opportunity to assure Lagosians that the command will continue to do everything operationally possible to ensure that crime and criminality are brought to the barest minimum in the State.
