Lagos 2023: How I was attacked with knives, bottles, guns — Nollywood actress + Video

The Polling Unit of Nollywood actress, Chioma Chukwuka Akpota, in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State has been attacked by thugs again.

This was during the ongoing Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in the state on Saturday.

It will be recalled that there were report of attacks on the same polling unit in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

This time around, Akpota she said they prevented them from bringing out their phones to film the attack.

The actress said the thugs had knives, bottles and guns, and refused to let people bring out their phones, not even to make calls.

She said they came for her when they saw her with her phone and they tried to attack her.

She had to get into her car and drive off, but they damaged her car.

Akpota added that the violence this time around was worse than what she experienced on the day of the presidential election.

The actress shared a video of scores of voters standing outside the polling unit, afraid to go in after thugs intimidated them.

She drove to a police truck to report the attack before driving home after saying she won’t put her life at further risk.
