The Kwara State Football Association has restated its commitment to work assiduously for the success and development of soccer in the State and the Country at large.
The Association also praised Football stakeholders, fans and lovers in Kwara State for their support and cooperation to the success of the various teams in the State.
The Chairman of the State Football Association, Mallam Busari Ishola, in a chat with sportswriters in Ilorin noted that their support had assisted the body to record tremendous successes in the outgoing year.
Ishola commended the State Government and the stakeholders for standing by Kwara United FC, which led to its promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, calling for the sustenance of such in the next football season starting in January.
The Chairman described the relegation of ABS Ilorin FC to the lower league as regrettable.
He stated that all hands should be on deck to ensure the promotion of the team to the NPFL next season.
He appealed to all stakeholders to troop out enmasse to support all the Clubs participating in the various leagues to record the needed success and promotion.
Ishola highlighted the performance and achievements of the body in 2017, which included winning the under-13 NFF/Zenith Bank future Super Eagles tournament, ongoing construction of football house in Ilorin and ensuring hitch free prosecution of leagues matches in the State among others.
The Chairman promised that the Association would not relent to sustain and improve on its performance in the coming year.
