The Kogi State House of Assembly has removed from office all the principal officers of the Assembly, including the Speaker, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, and his deputy.
The removal of Bello and the others was effected on Tuesday.
However, a close aide of Bello said the lawmakers who carried out the removal should not be considered as serious.
The aide, who sought for anonymity, said the House was not to reconvene until Thursday and that any sitting before then should be considered illegal.
He also faulted the failure of the members who purportedly removed his boss to allow the sitting to be open.
