The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar, has announced the arrest of Cozson Lelibori Lucky, aka Bright, who raised the false alarm that led to the brutal killing of four students of the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The students killed were Tekena Elkanah (20), a Diploma Technical student; Chiadaka Odinga (20), 200 Level, Theatre Arts student; Ugunna Obuzor (18), 200 Level, Geology Student; and Lloyd Toku (19), 200 Level, Civil Engineering Student.
Lucky, according to a report monitored on the website of The Sun at www.sunnewsonline.com, who has been on the run alongside another culprits since the day of the incident, according to the IGP, was arrested on Monday and charged to court on Tuesday morning.
The four students were beaten and burnt to death in Aluu, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State where they had gone to pursue the payment of a debt from Lucky.
Lucky raised the that they were armed robbers.
Police have been trying to track him down until he was eventually arrested on Monday.
