Germany striker, Miroslav Klose, is now out on his own as the World Cup’s all-time record goalscorer after netting his 16th goal in the competition against Brazil.
Klose’s goal – one of five Germany’s goals in an amazing opening 45 minutes against the hosts – took him clear of former Brazil striker, Ronaldo, on 15 goals at the finals.
Here’s the striker’s history in the World Cup finals.
2002: Saudi Arabia (three goals), Republic of Ireland (one goal), Cameroon (one goal).
2006: Costa Rica (two goals), Ecuador (two goals), Argentina (one goal).
2010: Australia (one goal), England (one goal), Argentina (two goals).
2014: Ghana (one goal), Brazil (one goal).
