History was made on Thursday at the famous Saint Paul Catholic Primary School, Ebute Metta, Lagos when ex-pupils donated a computer centre to the school at a well-attended ceremony.
Giving back to their root, the current Super Eagles handler, Stephen Keshi; ex international, Paul Okoku; and Godwin Odiye jointly donated five sets of computer and two laptops to their alma mata.
The presentation, which was witnessed by many dignitaries, was spiced by cultural display and novelty match by the current pupils of the school.
Speaking during the occasion, Keshi said that he and other donors decided to give back to the school while pledging more assistance will be rendered in the future.
Also speaking, Okoku explained the motive behind the donation.
Okoku said: “We cannot leave everything to government.
“We decided to give back to where we came from.
“We hope others will emulate this and assist,”
The Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Omowumi Jalekun, commended the trio for their philanthropic gesture while urging others to remember their root.
