The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Saturday’s governorship election in Kebbi State inconclusive.

The Returning Officer of the INEC for the poll in the state, Professor Yusuf Saidu, made the declaration on Sunday.

Saidu said the declaration followed irregularities that marred the election in 18 the local government areas of the state.

The Returning Officer quoted some sections from the Electoral Act, which gave him the power to declare the results inconclusive.
