The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, has pronounced President Goodluck Jonathan, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, as the winner of the presidential election in Delta State.
Jonathan won the state by a very wide margin.
While he scored 1,211,405 votes as earlier reported by The Eagle Online, his main challenger and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari, polled 48,910 votes.
With the announcement of the result from Delta State, only Borno State is outstanding.
