Reports from Treasures Inn in Jos, the Plateau State capital, indicate that the Governor of the state, Da Jonah David Jang, has won ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party for the National Assembly senatorial primaries from Plateau North Senatorial District.
Our correspondent reports that Jang led in his senatorial primaries by scoring 273 votes to beat his co-contestant, Ambassador Ibrahim Kassei, who cored 18 votes.
A total of 283 delegates were accredited for the exercise.
Counting ended at exactly 3pm.
