The Ogun State governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party for the 2023 elections, Otunba Deji Osinowo, has vowed to defeat incumbent Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and any other candidate.
The governorship hopeful disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday.
Osinowo said he remained the candidate to beat for the governorship poll.
He noted that Abiodun, the All Progressives Congress candidate for the poll, has failed the people, especially in the areas of viable infrastructure and people-oriented projects
According to him, the governor should not seek reelection because of his low performances and mismanagement of the state’s resources and economy.
Osinowo, who bragged to defeat and humiliate Abiodun and other gubernatorial candidates at the 2023 poll, said the people were tired of his government because it failed to meet their yearnings and aspirations.
He said that he is the only candidate that could change the fortune of the state for better and deliver the people from insecurity, hunger and economy hardships facing the masses.
The governorship candidate urged Tony Ojeshina, whom he defeated at the primary election, to stop parading himself as the party’s candidate because the court would soon declare him as the right candidate of the party to contest the election.
He added: “I will humiliate the current Governor, Abiodun, at the poll and the other opponents at the 2023 governorship election in March.
“I have no doubt that I am the best man for this job and I will prove that those who undermine me at the poll do so at their own peril.
“And for the case of my opponent whom I defeated at the primary, he is just wasting his time.
“I have gone to the court and my candidacy is not in question and by the grace of God, I will emerge as the next governor of Ogun State.”
