Popular Nigerian songstress, Simi, has stated that she never intended to marry an artiste.
Simi disclosed this while featuring in a recent episode of the ‘Tea with Tay’ podcast.
The Duduke crooner opened up about how she met her husband, Adekunle Gold.
Simi explained that she met Gold as a graphic designer and had no idea ‘he was singing’.
“When I first met my husband, I did not know he was singing. Because I already said I cannot marry a singer.

“He used to do this King of Photoshop. I had never heard him sing up till that time. I think he was even a fan,” she added.
Simi further said that she initially took him for just a fan hoping to connect with her on Facebook.
They (Simi and Adekunle Gold) started dating in 2014 and got married in 2019.
The couple known for their love songs and strong relationship have a daughter together named Adejare.
