How Abubakar Audu died before election results were announced

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prince Abubakar Audu, died in the wee hours of Sunday even before the Independent National Electoral Commission began the announcement of the results of the governorship election in Kogi State.
Audu, sources said, died in his country home in Ogbonicha, Kogi State after complaints of stomach ache for three days consecutively.
It was gathered that food poisoning was suspected.
However, Audu managed to vote in the election on Saturday and spoke with newsmen before retiring back to his country home.
He died on Sunday before INEC announced the election inconclusive.
One of his close aides told The Eagle Online that the plan was to fly Audu out immediately after INEC must have declared him the winner of the election and he must have spoken with the media.
Competent medical personnels were said to be with him right from when he wound down his campaign on Thursday and left Lokoja, the state capital, for Ogbonicha on Friday, and until his breathed his last.
Some of them were said to be from the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
