Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano has congratulated governors of Ekiti state and Plateau, Kayode Fayemi and Simon Lalong, over their emergence as Chairmen of Nigerian Governors’ Forum and Northern Governors’ Forum respectively.
The felicitation was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Ganduje, Malam Abba Anwar, on Friday in Kano.
The governor also congratulated the newly elected Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Governors’ Forum, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State.
He said: “All those elected to chair such fora, have all the necessary qualities and requirements to lead in those capacities.
“They are versatile, resourceful, dedicated and committed to a common goal; that is genuinely serving our dear nation.”
He also appreciated his colleagues for their choices, which he said originated from genuine concern and interest for the development of the country.
He said: “With these choices in our fora, it is clear to all that Next Level is going to be brighter and more productive.
“All the newly elected chairmen are visionary leaders with greater vision to propel our socio-political and economic development to greater heights.”
The governor called on his colleagues to always cooperate and work together with the new leaderships of each forum.
He assured Nigerians that the APC government would continue with the good things it started from 2015 at both the state and national levels.
He said: “With the assured next level, leaders will continue to be responsive and more desirous for meaningful change and development.”
