The Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, has called on Christians all over the world to share the love of God this season in celebration of the yuletide.
The Governor gave this admonition in his Christmas Message to Christians in Plateau State and Nigeria on the occasion of the celebration of Christmas.
In press statement issued on Wednesday by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Emmanuel Nanle, the Governor was quoted as saying that Christmas is not only the commemoration of the birth of the Saviour of the world but the bringing of joy to mankind in God’s restoration of humanity to himself.
He advised Christians to emulate this love of God to their fellow human beings and pursue the godly character of peace, reconciliation and harmonious living with one another.
He reiterated the determination of the All Progressives Congress-led Administration in the state to fulfill her promises to the people of the state for a just and egalitarian society anchored on the Five Policy Thrust of the administration.
Lalong called on all to be vigilant and law-abiding during the festivities.
He further wished all Christians a memorable celebration and a prosperous New Year.
