Senator Danjuma Goje on Saturday emerged the winner of the All Progressives Congress senatorial primaries for Gombe Central Senatorial District.
The Senator, who was also a former Governor of Gombe State, achieved the feat on Saturday at the APC primaries.
The former governor defeated Abubakar Muazu, who polled three votes, and former Minister of Transport, Senator Idris Abdullahi Idris, with two votes.
Senator Goje will be facing Aliyu Abubakar Aliyu of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2023 election.
According to the result sheet, the total number of voters were 108, while only 105 voters were accredited for the primary election.
The result of the election was signed by the Chairman of the Primary Election Committee, Dr. Danjuma Dabo, and Secretary of the Committee, Danasabe Shuaib, dated May 28, 2022.
