Transport operators in Lagos slash fares by between 10 per cent and 25 per cent.
The transport operators, who reached the agreement with the Lagos State Government, announced this on Thursday.
The slash will affect both intra-city and inter-state transportation.
The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Akin James, who spoke on behalf of the union, said the review is coming on the heels of the release of high capacity buses for mass transit scheme by the Federal Government.
A committee is to be set up to monitor and enforce compliance.
