The Federal Road Safety Corps will hold its 1st annual lecture and induction of new celebrity marshals.
The lecture will be delivered by Eniola Bello, the Managing Director of Thisday newspaper.
The event will take place at A2W Centre, 7, Olufunmilola Okikiola Street, off Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos State at 9am.
Among celebrities to be inducted is the Managing Director of orijoreporters, a foremost and vibrant online media, Adewale Ogunniran, who hails from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Ogunniran graduated from the University of Lagos and is marketing communication.
He co-owns the popular orijoreporter with a seasoned journalist cum public analyst, Rotimi Sulyman.
He has close to 20 years experience in the media.
Among other celebrities to be inducted are Tony Okoroji, Steve Ayorinde, Gbemi Olagbegi Olateru, Deji Balogun, Chico Ejiro, Halima Abubakar and Doris Simeon.
The purpose of having celebrities special marshals is to create awareness that will lead to the reduction of road crashes, according to Nseobong Akpabio, the Corp Sector Commander for the Lagos State Sector Command.
